Our Story

Lapp Gas Appliance (LGA) was established in 1991. It was started by the Lapp family with a goal in mind to provide the local community with a gas appliance expert that would have fast quality service.

Back then a service call was $25.00, and the Lapp family worked out of an 8x10 garden shed at their home in Gordonville, PA for the first few years. By 1996, they had hired 2 service techs and had a small showroom in Intercourse, PA where they sold gas appliances and heaters.

The Lapp family enjoyed the outdoors. They liked camping and joy riding their motorcycles. By 2010, the business was booming and had lots of potential, but then tragedy hit Lapp Gas Appliance. Sam and Linda Lapp were killed in a motorcycle accident along with their daughter’s fiancé. It was a really devastating time for Lapp Gas Appliance, everyone was in shock.

Fortunately, the Lapp family had a very dedicated service team that purchased the business and ran it until 2017. The business was then sold January 2nd, 2017 to a local family.

Today

Since 2017, Lapp Gas Appliance LLC has come together and totally restructured. We are grateful for the legend of the Lapp family that still to this day carry the name of our business. We still service gas appliances, which has been our staple for years, but we now service ALL HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCES and water heaters. If an appliance breaks down in your home, our main focus is to have it back in working condition for you as quickly as possible or provide you with quality options to replace it. Here at Lapp Gas Appliance, our team members are and always will be (NUMBER 1).

Our vision is to build a team of people and take good care of them so that we can serve you, our customer. Without our team members, Lapp Gas Appliance wouldn’t exist.
